Ordinarily, this would have been a post lamenting the non-existence of this day in my own country.
Recent events have urged me to stop being so shallow.
Let's all pray for our Japan, for Libya, for Saudi Arabia, for our world as we enter another day of rebuilding.
More than that, here are some helpful links if you wish for a more concrete way to reach out to Japan:
- Google has a project called 'Google Crisis Response' with real-time updates on events in Japan.
- The Huffington Post also has an article on ways to help.
- The New York Times also has an article to help.
- Yahoo also has some useful links.
- Locally, the Inquirer also has some suggestions for helping. This one is also nice for Facebook addicts because you can donate by playing FB games.
If I find out, I'll update this post.
In the meantime, prayer.
That is something we all can do.
